Intercom systems are a great way to identifying someone before you allow them to gain access for both residential and commercial premises. If you need to know who is knocking on your door, then an intercom system is a must.

Depending on the end-user's applications, intercom systems can be large versions for many users:

Large intercom system

The AX-8M is an audio only master station for the AX series. The unit is CAT-5e homerun wired to it's CEU and features an oversized TALK button.


Single-user intercom unit

Programming starter kit for the AX-DV-XP and AX-DVF-XP stations. **Required to program the XP readers.


Audio intercom system

Communication at the unit is Simultaneous or PTT open voice A headset and external speaker connection are also standard.


For commercial installations, intercom systems are frequently combined with other means of access control, such as a keypad or a fob-reader:

Keypad Reader systems

The unit is equipped with an option for an external output contact closure when the sub station places a call from a parking deck, or elevator.


As a rule of thumb, intercom systems can have a trouble-free life-expectancy of between 5 and 10 years. As there aren't any moving parts, they don't usually need a service contract.
